As we transition to Fall at the Shop, it’s that time of year when we like to welcome new folks to join our team. As a family-owned business that has been rooted in the Hudson Valley for over 75 years, we take great pride in offering a place to work that is as enjoyable as it is rewarding. I’ll be honest, I didn’t fully realize how important this was until recently when the shop was super-busy all day but everything ran SOOOO SMOOTHLY. What’s nice about this is that you always know what to expect. When everyone is working together and following the systems and procedures you have in place, it creates a level of calm that makes completing the tasks that much easier and more enjoyable.

So what jobs are available?
In general, we are looking for people who like to work with people. We all wear a lot of hats but first and foremost is working with customers. This can include front of the house, such as working the main register, answering the phone and selling Potter Brothers products and services. We’re also looking for specific areas of expertise such as selling Outerwear and Apparel (along with merchandising) plus sales of Ski Equipment and Snowboard Gear. If the back shop is more your speed, we’re always looking for people who are willing to Tune, Mount and Repair Gear. Training is always provided.
