Seasonal Rental Exchange Program
So you’ve rented your ski or snowboard package for the season and you’re feeling ready to go. But maybe you’ve been wondering — is it time to finally invest in my own gear? Here’s how to know when the moment is right — and how our Rental Exchange Program makes it easier than ever.
How It Works
If you’ve rented a ski or snowboard package from Potter Brothers, you have until December 24th to exchange it for a FULL CREDIT toward the purchase of new equipment.
Note: Exchange requests made after 12/24 are subject to reduced, limited or no credit.
When Should You Buy?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but here are a few key signs that it might be time to upgrade:
1. You’re Committed to the Sport
Do you ski or ride every winter? Maybe you’ve got a season pass or plan multiple trips this year. If that sounds like you, buying your own setup is a smart long-term move — and a big step toward dialing in your performance.
2. You’ve Outgrown Rental Gear
Rental packages are designed for beginners and casual intermediates. If you’re progressing and want gear that matches your ability, buying opens up a whole new world of performance, precision, and comfort.
3. Your Boots Hurt (and They Shouldn’t)
Uncomfortable boots can ruin a great day on the mountain. Buying your own pair means a proper fit and the right flex for your style — a total game changer.
Ready to Make the Switch?
If any of the above apply to you, stop by Potter Brothers Kingston or Fishkill and chat with our team. We’ll walk you through your options, make sure you’re getting the most value for your rental credit, and help you find the right setup for your next adventure.
