Each season, Potter Brothers donates hundreds of winter jackets to people in need around the Hudson Valley. Our locations in Kingston, Poughkeepsie and Fishkill are used as the drop-off points for anyone looking to donate their old jacket and have it delivered to several local charities in the community. Potter Brothers will make sure all jackets are cleaned and in usable condition before any donations are made.
Where do we donate jackets?
A majority of our donations are delivered to the Boys & Girls Club of Kingston, Catholic Charities, Social Services and Point-of-Praise Church. If you have a charity that you would like us to support, please let us know.
What’s the deal on a new Jacket?
Once a jacket is donated, Potter Brothers will give you 15% OFF a new jacket purchase. Choose from many great styles from The North Face, Marmot, Helly Hansen, Under Armour, 686, Roxy, Burton Oakley and more. Discount is taken off the retail price.
Note: You do not have to purchase a jacket to make a donation. Simply drop off your old jacket and we will make sure it is donated to a local charity this holiday season. This is our 10th season doing the Jacket Trade-in and it’s been a huge success each season. Thank you for your support.
